The 215th Anniversary of the Sepoy Clash was commemorated at Vellore Fort today.
The District Collector, Member of Legislative Assembly and Ex-servicemen of the district paid floral tributes at the memorial pillar of the mutiny.

In the year 1806, on 10th of July, Indian sepoys protested against the British Raj and clashed with them.
Some British soldiers and 900 Indian soldiers were killed in retaliation. This was the first instance which gave rise to Sepoy mutiny in India.
