NTPC-Simhadri inaugurates tap water supply scheme in Jalari Peta, Mutyalammapalem Panchayats
A NTPC Simhadri CSR initiative of providing piped water supply scheme along with a ground level water tank of 20 KL at Jalaripeta, Mutyalammapalem has been commenced in Parawada Mandal, Visakhapatnam District in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
A total amount of INR 14.30 Lakhs has been incurred to ensure access to potable water for 385 families of Jalaripeta village
Shri Annamreddi Adeep Raj, Hon’ble MLA Pendurthi and Shri Girish Chandra Choukse, General Manager (O&M), NTPC inaugurated the PWS scheme at Jalaripeta village in the presence of Sri Syam Kumar Dagani, DGM (HR) & CSR Team Members, Sarpanch of Mutyalammapalem, MPDO, RWS&S Officials and local leaders.
The initiative is in convergence with “ Jal Jeevan Mission” of Ministry of Jal Shakti and contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goal 6 Ensure Availability and Sustainable Management of Water and Sanitation for All.
The initiative will ensure access to safe and potable water. Improved supply of clean and safe water will enhance the health status in the Parawada mandal. The initiative will benefit over 385 households in the Jalaripeta village. With this initiative, NTPC Simhadri moves ahead with its goal of addressing water requirement of nearby villages through provision of 28 piped water supply schemes.
