Telangana: ‘Rajannapeta’ hamlet has achieved Covid-resilience status with 100% vaccinations

In Telangana, Rajannapet, a hamlet in Rajanna Sircilla District achieved COVID-resilience status with 100 per cent vaccination.
This was possible by the Project Madad which successfully created an entirely COVID-resilient village a five-pronged model devised by Project Madad and piloted by the district health team.
The Rajannapet village with a population of 2,253 including children could get universal vaccine coverage status while embracing best practices in COVID-19 control.
On 31 July, Rajannapet, a hamlet in Rajanna Sircilla district achieved COVID-resilience status with first dose vaccination of 1,328 eligible adults in a marathon four-day campaign following ten weeks of public health innovations.
Project Madad’s team shared globally-proven COVID-19 best practices with 1,500 rural health care workers, countered COVID-19 misinformation and raised vaccine acceptance among villagers using graphics and AV content in the vernacular language.
