England vs India, 3rd Test Day 2: Root strong as England scored 328/3(102) lead 250

Mohammed Siraj struck at the stroke of Tea to remove Dawid Malan for 70 after England stretched their lead to 250 runs replying to India’s meagre first innings total of 78 on day two of the third Test at Headingley on Thursday. Captain Joe Root was batting on 96 at the other end and will be joined by Jonny Bairstow at the crease.

In Cricket, resuming from their overnight score of 120 for no loss, England were 141 for 1 in their first innings against India on day two of the 3rd test at Headingley, Leeds when reports last came in.

India had taken a 1-0 lead in the five-match series after trouncing England by 151 runs at Lord’s in the second test.
