AP: Visakha Steel Plant Movement reaches its 200th day
The Visakhapatnam Steel Plant movement reached its 200th day today (Monday). Protests were held across the state on the occasion. Candle rallies will be held in the evening. As part of the longer movement, steel plant workers carried out a ‘Manavaharam’of 10,000 people yesterday.

AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has already written letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the privatization of the steel plant. A unanimous resolution has already been introduced in the Assembly against the privatization of the steel plant.
Under the auspices of the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management of the Central Government, action has been taken on privatization.
There has been outrage at the steel plant since the government’s decision was known.
Roadblocks, strikes were organized against the central government’s decision. Riley has been on a hunger strike at Kurmannapalem junction ever since.
