Random Survey on Plants Planted by Municipal and Panchayati Raj Departments under Forest Department

A study on plants planted under the auspices of Municipal Department, Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, Departments in the last two years and the percentage of survivors among them.

Determination of random survey on survival of plants planted.

Ms. A. Santhi Kumari Special Chief Secretary of the Forest Department, who discussed the duty policies through video conference with all the District Collectors.  Survey in all districts from September 1st to 15th.

Establishment of committees headed by the District Forest Officer. Teams are formed by a forest officer and an officer from the concerned department. Teams will survey all areas where plants are planted.

Teams will inspect the plants planted in the last two years (2019, 2020). The study will focus on Black Plantation, Linear Plantation and Scattered Plantation.

Branches to be studied in accordance with the instructions made by the Chief Minister at the last Collectors’ Conference.

The study will focus on how many plants have been planted in each area in the last two years by random survey, how many have survived, the minimum height, and the percentage of plants that have changed in case of death.

These branches have previously geo-tagged the areas where the plants were planted and recorded the details on the TGFMIS website. Ms. Shanti Kumari said the survey would be conducted on the basis of the report. The Special Chief Secretary said the study would be useful for future plans to review the greening results for Telangana.

To study at the field level as per the instructions given by the government and submit the correct results in the form of a report PCCF R.Shobha asked the officers.

The meeting was attended by PCCF (Social Forest) R.M. Dobriyal, Municipal Department Director Satyanarayana, Panchayati Raj Special Commissioner Prasad, Collectors of all districts, Additional Collectors of local bodies, Panchayati Raj Department officials and District Forest Officers were present.
