CMD N. Sridhar Review Meet Adriyala, PVK-5, Kondapuram, GDK-11 and Vakilpally mines
Chairman & MD Sri. N. Sridhar said that to achieve the set target of 70 million tonnes this financial year by Singareni, underground mines also have to play a key role and mainly production should increase in mechanized underground mines. He has been conducting review meetings for the past two days on the performance of all areas, mines and CHPs.
On Friday (September 3rd) he focussed specially on the production of mechanized mines in Adriala long wall project, GDK-11 Incline, PVK-5 Incline, Kondapuram, Vakilpalli mines. Many issues were discussed in the meeting in detail and the Chairman & MD discussed about the 2 lakh tonnes production target of Adriala long wall and the problems faced and solutions.
He said that targets have not been met at Adriala in the current financial year and work has to pick up and the targets must be reached in the coming 7 months. There is a hindrance in production due to machine breakdowns and this has to come down.
He instructed that machine working times should increase. Chairman& MD said that PVK-5 incline at Kothagudam area achieved 35.94% production in five months and steps needs to be taken to achieve 37,500 tonnes production per month.
The area officials said that since the belt circuit distance is more, strata bunker construction is being taken up with 800 tonnes capacity and this will be completed by this month end and steps would be taken to increase production. Chairman & MD suggested that the production at Kondapuram mine has to increase. Area officials said that the continuous miner bought from Shantikhani mine will start very soon at RG-1 area GDK-11 incline. Chairman & MD instructed that one thousand tonnes of production must be achieved per day.

Suryanarayana, GM (Strategic planning) Sri. Surendar, GMs of the respective areas and company representatives of the contract agencies of the respective mines participated in the meeting.
