Visakhapatnam: Swarnim Vijay Varsh Victory Flame visits Schools
As part of Swarnim Vijay Varsh celebrations commemorating the 50th Anniversary celebrations of India’s victory in the 1971 War on Pakistani Armed Forces and to inspire young minds on the valour and patriotism, the Victory Flame visited several schools here today at Visakhapatnam.
The schools included Navy Children Schools, Nausena Baugh(NSB) and 104 Area, Kendriya Vidyalayas in NSB, Malkapuram, and Sri Vijay Nagar Colony. Principals, teachers, and children of five schools viz., Sanskriti Global School, Chaitanya Public School, Srishti World School, Apple I English Medium School and Timpany School also participated in the commemorative programme conducted at Navy Children School, NSB Campus.

The Victory Flame was given a grand reception at all locations by the staff and children of the respective schools. Commemorating programme at all locations included the playing of short movie clip on Indian Navy’s role in 1971 Liberation of Bangladesh war, singing of patriotic songs by children and dance/ skit on patriotic themes. All events were shown online to the children to educate them on the historical war of 1971 resulting in the birth of a new nation, Bangladesh.
