Singareni: Director N. Balaram meets CMPF Central Commissioner Animesh Bharathi
In line with raising the retirement age to 61 years
Appeal for Continuation of CMPF Contributions
A team of officials led by Director Shri N. Balaram went to Delhi on the instructions of Shri N. Sridhar, Chairman and Managing Director of CMPF to discuss and resolve CMPF contributions, pensions etc. with the concerned authorities in the wake of raising the retirement age of Singarenis. On Wednesday (September 8) at the Shastri Bhavan in New Delhi, CMPF Commissioner, Union Coal Ministry Financial Adviser Shri Animesh Bharathi had a special meeting with Union Coal Secretary Shri Shyam Bhagat Negi.
Singareni Director (Personnel, Finance, P&P) Shri N. Balaram told CMPF Central Commissioner and Financial Adviser to Union Coal Minister Shri Animesh Bharathi that the Singareni Board has decided to rise the retirement age of Singareni employees to 61 years in the wake of state government directives and appeals by trade unions.
He explained that the decision was taken to apply it to all those who have retired since March 30 this year. In this context, he was requested to issue directions to continue the CMPF contributions of Singareni employees till the retirement age of 61 years.
CMPF, who retired from March 30 to July 31, demanded immediate suspension of their pension settlers and permission to withdraw claims if the pension is not settled. Employees are requested to agree to send supplementary claims after they retire, to continue CMPF contributions as usual for 61 years.
He thanked the CMPF officials for receiving information from the regional offices that the CMPF claims of the employees who retired on July 31 as per their request and the pension of those who have been retiring since April 1 have been withheld.
The Director requested to take a positive decision on all other matters and issue directions to the concerned authorities. The Commissioner responded positively. He assured that a decision will be taken soon. The Director was accompanied by GM (Personnel), IR, PM, RC Shri A. Anandrao, Resident Manager Shri Neeraj Kumar Ojha and others.
