Uttarakhand: Priests of Char Dham Shrines suspend agitation against DMB after CM’s Assurance
In Uttarakhand, Priests of Char Dham Shrines have suspended their agitation against Devsthanam Management Board till 30th October after Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami assured them that the high-level committee formed to find a solution to the issue by the date.
A delegation of the priests of the Char Dham shrines met the chief Minister in Dehradun over the board formed by the state government in 2019 in an attempt to take over the management of the four shrines – Kedar Nath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri including 47 other temples.
Mr Dhami told the delegation that Government will not take any action that would harm the welfare of the priests. The delegation expressed satisfaction with the assurance given by the Chief Minister during the meeting.
