Visakhapatnam: Andhra University releases 23 Patented Technologies for Commercialization
The Andhra University has a portfolio of about 23 patented/patent-pending technologies in Healthcare or Pharma (8), Energy and Environment (4), ICT (5), Manufacturing (4), Other technological areas (2) and invites expression of interestfrom MSMEs, Startups, Large Companies for commercialization through licensing.
APSCHE Chairman released the IPR policy of Andhra University Andhra University has come out with a comprehensive Intellectual Property (IP) Policy 2021 for the first time to be implemented in all University colleges of Andhra University.
The IPR policy was released during the APSCHE board meeting held in the Executive Council Hall of Andhra University today by Prof. Hema Chandra Reddy, Chairman, APSCHE in presence of Prof. PVGD Prasad Reddy, Vice Chancellor of Andhra University, Prof. M. Chandrasekhar, Director, IIM Visakhapatnam, Prof. K. Ram Mohan Rao, Vice Chairman, APSCHE, Prof. V. Krishna Mohan, Registrar, Andhra University and Prof.
H. Purushotham, DPIIT-IPR Chair Professor, Centre for Intellectual Property Rights, Andhra University. Prof. Hema Chandra Reddy complimented Andhra University for bringing out the IPR policy and said it can be adopted by other State Universities in Andhra Pradesh.
Board members from APSCHE, Vice Chancellors and Directors of many State and Central Universities were also present at the meeting. The IPR policy was brought out by Centre for Intellectual Property Rights (CIPR), Andhra University and the policy is expected to promote IPR culture in the Andhra University.
The University also offers its incubation facilities to the entrepreneurs for further development and upscaling of some of these patented technologies.
