Hyderabad: Immersion of Ganesh idol with full josh
All arrangements have been put in place for the Ganesh idol immersion in Hyderabad. Hyderabad in-charge Minister T. Srinivas Yadav informed that the Government is geared up for the Ganesh idol immersion as all the arrangements have been completed with the co-ordination of all the departments.
He said the immersion process will be completed as soon as possible and immersion of Maha Ganapathi of Khairatabad will be done in the morning hours. He said all those who are participating in the immersion procession will be given masks and asked to follow COVID appropriate behaviour.
Meanwhile about 21 thousand police personnel and nearly 9 thousand sanitation staff have been pressed into service. About 40 thousand Ganesh idols are expected to be taking part in the immersion procession. Over 40 cranes are made available and additional cranes and life jackets and expert swimmers have been put on standby.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said senior police officials and constabulary from others districts will assist the police during the immersion procession. Platoons of the Telangana State Special Police, Quick Response Team and Rapid Action Force teams will also be deployed.
The IT cell of the City Police had done extensive geotagging of Ganesh idol pandals and prepared bar-coded stickers to help in tracking of each idol. Apart from Hussain Sagar, the immersion will take place at Rajanna Bowli, Errakunta tank, Mir Alam tank and Hasmathpet in Hyderabad.
