Singareni: Good news for Singareni women: Circular release of special opportunities in compassionate appointments
Circular issued to allow married and divorced daughters and single women in compassionate appointments
Orders of the Director (Personnel) Shri N. Balaram with effect from 9th March 2018
Director (Personnel) Shri N. Balaram on Tuesday issued orders in line with the decision taken at a recent meeting of the Board of Directors chaired by Shri N. Sridhar, Chairman and Managing Director of the SCCL, to allow married and divorced daughters and single women in Singareni compassionate appointments. The orders will be applicable from March 9, 2018.
In the compassionate employment process so far only unmarried daughters, son, are allowed to adopt a son who is legally adopted. If not, the brother, widowed daughter, daughter-in-law and son-in-law who live with the employee and depend on his salary would also have the option to apply for the job.
However, at the request of the recognized labor unions, it has recently issued orders amending the compassionate appointment orders to allow married daughters, divorced daughters and even single women who are completely dependent on employees for compassionate appointments.
As per the directions of the Chief Ministers of the State, Shri K. Chandrasekhara Rao, Singareni has been implementing a compassionate recruitment process in Singareni since 2018 to replace the employees who are unfit due to ill health with their successors.
So far, 82 medical boards have been set up and jobs have been created for nearly 7,000 descendants.
In this context, the Board Chairman and MD Shri N. Sridhar took a positive decision and approved in the Board the request to provide employment opportunities to heirs, married daughters, divorced daughters and even single women.
