FM approves capital expenditure projects worth Rs 2,903 Cr in eight states, including Telangana
Finance Ministry has approved capital expenditure projects worth over two thousand 903 crore rupees in eight States. The capital will be provided to states under the scheme Special Assistance to States for Capital Expenditure for 2021-22 to give timely stimulus to economic recovery.
The Ministry has released over one thousand 393 crore rupees to States, namely, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Sikkim and Telangana.
The scheme Special Assistance to States for Capital Expenditure for 2021-22 was launched in April this year to provide resources to the State in the wake of second wave of COVID-19 pandemic. Under the scheme, special assistance is being provided to the State Governments in the form of 50-year interest free loan.
