Vice President advises CSIR to reinvent itself and turn futuristic while pursuing science of the highest order
Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday advised the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, CSIR to reinvent itself and turn futuristic while pursuing the science of the highest order.
Participating in the 80th Foundation Day celebrations of CSIR in New Delhi, Mr. Naidu asked scientists to focus on farmers’ problems and challenges like climate change.
He urged corporates and industries to form close linkages with leading scientific institutions, identify important Research and development projects and invest in them.
He said, this will not only boost funding but also improve both quality and innovation. Vice President lauded scientists, doctors and vaccine manufacturers for leading the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
