Jammu and Kashmir: Tourism Dept organizes Musical Evening at Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre in Srinagar
Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department has organized a Musical Evening at Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre, SKICC in Srinagar to commemorate World Tourism Day, to be celebrated tomorrow under the theme ‘Tourism for Inclusive Growth’. It was also part of the activities under Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav to mark 75th Independence Day of the country.
During the event today, various artists enthralled the audience with their remarkable performances besides some traditional folk songs were also presented to the audience by singers.
The department has initiated several activities to promote the tourism potential of the Union Territory.

For this purpose, some senior officers of the Department visited places like Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and other places to attract tourist footfall from there.
The officers also interacted with Bollywood and Tollywood filmmakers and invited them for film shooting in J&K.
Apart from this, the tourism department also launched several measures to tap the tourist potential of some virgin destinations as well as rural tourism.
