Union Minister Smriti Irani arrives at Husnabad in Telangana to participate in roadshow
Union Minister Smriti Irani has arrived at Husnabad in Siddipet districts of Telangana state to take part in the roadshow that is being held by BJP state president and Member of Parliament Bandi Sanjay Kumar on completing the first phase of his Praja Sangrama Yatra today.
Sanjay has walked 438 kilometres in 35 days, covering eight districts and 19 Assembly constituencies.
To mark the event, the Union Minister and the MP will address a public meeting in Husnabad later this evening.
Sanjay began his padayatra from the Bhagyalakshmi temple in Hyderabad on 28th of August and met thousands of people of various sections and got first-hand information on problems pertaining to agriculture, unemployment, education, irrigation and others during his yatra.
According to an official note, he received over 11 thousand memoranda during the walkathon.
He addressed 34 public meetings during the Praja Sangrama Yatra, focusing on the alleged lapses of the ruling TRS government in the state, wrote a series of open letters to the Chief Minister on various issues during the padayatra.
Former Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis of Maharashtra and Raman Singh of Chhattisgarh, six Union ministers and 24 national leaders addressed the padayatra.
BJP MPs and MLAs also extended their solidarity to the yatra.
