Pure Earth Foundation Announces the 3rd Pure Earth Environment Conference, 2021(Nov)

A national conference to address and inspire an essential dialogue around

Environmental Conservation & Education

India: Pure Earth Foundation, a charitable society, is organizing the 3rd  Pure Earth Environment Conference (PEEC) to be held on 27th November 2021 in online mode. PEEC is a bi-annual conference to promote research and innovation in the field of environment, natural resources and social related issues.

PEEC was conceived with the notion to encourage and educate the younger generation towards the scientific and technological aspects of all activity associated with sustainable development and environmental conservation.

The focal theme for PEEC 2021(Nov) is ‘Environment and Education’. The conference invites students studying under graduation, post graduation or research in Science, Engineering and Social subjects across India to share their techno-scientific and innovative ideas through paper presentations. PEEC aims to build a strong knowledge base and initiate discussions in the field of environment and sustainability.

The one-day conference will deliver special addresses during the inaugural session, followed by 25-30 presentations by students. A selection committee will scrutinize papers received from students, and the selected papers will be presented at the conference. Two best paper presentations will be awarded with cash prizes.

Spokesperson Profile: Pure Earth Foundation

Shri. M. V. Krishna Rao, IPS (Retd.) Shri. M.V Krishna Rao is the former Director General of Police, Andhra Pradesh state. He is currently the President of Pure Earth Foundation, an environment-concerned charitable society.

During the course of his professional journey, he served as the Commissioner of Police for Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad cities. He also held the positions of Director of AP Police Academy, Director General Prisons; Director General of Fire Services, and Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC).

Mr. Krishna Rao was awarded ‘The Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service’ and ‘The President’s Medal for distinguished services’. After retirement in 2010, he has been teaching at institutes and universities, including IIM Ahmadabad, NALSAR University, ESCI, University of Hyderabad, Dr. MCRHRD Institute, APHRDI, ASCI and LBSNAA (Mussoorie).

Dr. Jayachandra Kannemadugu, MSc, MTech, PhD Dr. K Jayachandra possesses immense knowledge in the field of geospatial technologies and has completed M.Sc. (Physics), M.Tech. (Remote Sensing & GIS), and PhD in integrated urban development.

He is the Vice President of Pure Earth Foundation, the Regional Director at Centre for Environment and Development, Hyderabad, and the CEO of Global Information Technologies. He has provided consultancy services in geospatial technologies for more than 30 organizations/ departments of the State and Central Governments.

Dr. Jayachandra frequently visits various universities/Institutions to deliver lectures, including Lal Bahadur Sastry National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie; National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD), Dr. MCRHRD Institute, ESCI, TALIM, MCEME, Judicial Academy Hyderabad.

With 11published research papers in geospatial technology based applications, he has guided more than 70 academic projects for M.Tech. and B.Tech. students. He has organized 3 national conferences, and is the Convener for Pure Earth Environment Conference, 2021.
