Karnataka: Govt issues guidelines for Dussehra and Durga puja celebrations
Karnataka state Government has issued guidelines for Dussehra and Durga puja celebrations.
All the district administration has been asked to implement the guidelines in letter and spirit.
Exempting Mysuru, the other districts have been asked to ensure that not more than 400 people gather to celebrate Dussehra and Durga puja.
In Mysuru however 500 people will be allowed for cultural programmes, 100 persons on Chamundi hills and 500 persons for Jambusavari or elephant procession on Vijayadashmi day.
The officials and media deputed for the Dussehra events have to get RTPCR tests done. Wearing masks and ensuring social distance has been made mandatory.
The public are requested to watch the festivities online or on Doordarshan where it will be broadcast live.
