Vizag Zoo organizes “Drawing Competition” for the students from 1st to PG level

On the occasion of “67thWildlife Week, 2021” Indira Gandhi Zoological Park organized “Drawing Competition” for the students from 1st class to Post Graduation level on the theme of “Wildlife at Indira Gandhi Zoological Park” today.

Children enthusiastically participated in this competition. About 80 students from different schools and colleges drew their favourite animals of their choice which they have seen in Indira Gandhi Zoological Park.

This competition inspires children towards the protection of the environment and focus on the need for the wildlife conservation, said Dr. Nandani Salaria, IFS, Curator, Indira Gandhi Zoological Park.

Such competitions can be useful in unleashing creativity & imaginary thinking power in children, she added. On 5th October 2021, we conducted “Wildlife Photography Contest” for professional & non professional photography enthusiasts.

Photographers from Visakhapatnam participated and captured beautiful wildlife of IGZP with their camera lens. Over 20 photographers participated in this competition.

On October 7th Run for Wildlife event will be organized at IGZP. All the age groups can participate in this event. No registration fee will be charged. T shirt & Cap will be provided for first 100 participants. Also Curator have a talk on Wildlife Conservation to students of Dr. V S Krishna Govt Degree college, Visakhapatnam.

About 40 students from V.B.V High School along with G.B. Usha Rani Dist.Coordinator, AP NGC visited the zoo and viewed the participant photographs.
