Indian Men’s Hockey team resumes training at SAI campus in Bengaluru
The Indian Men’s Hockey team that had won the Bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics has resumed training at Sports Authority of India campus in Bengaluru.
A release by SAI says that all Covid protocol guidelines are strictly being adhered to in the camp.
All the players underwent Covid 19 Rapid Antigen Tests and are residing in separate rooms as per quarantine rule.
They are also undergoing outdoor training without coming in proximity with other athletes being trained in the camp.
The men’s hockey team is making preparations for the Asian Champions Trophy to be held in Dhaka in December.
The Commonwealth Games is also scheduled at Birmingham in July and Asian Games in China in September next year.
India will host the Hockey World Cup in 2023 before the Paris Olympics that is scheduled in 2024.
The team coach Graham Reid has said that the players will be reoriented to their priorities during the training camp.
