Nalsar, CHSS Jointly Launches Artificial Intelligence (AI) program for Smart Policing

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Smart Policing 3 Days Executive Certificate Program was launched today at a special event organized at Somajiguda Press Club. Program brochures were released on this occasion. Program Administrators Prof. V. Balakista Reddy, Professor of Law & Registrar, NALSAR University, Dr. Ramesh Kanneganti, Post Doctorate in Security Studies BESA Israel explained the Smart Policing 3 Days Executive Certificate Program Guidelines.

Artificial Intelligence (AI ) for Smart Policing 3 Days Executive Certificate Program (ECP) jointly organized by NALSAR University of Law- India’s premier Law University at  Hyderabad & Center for Human Security Studies (CHSS)  India’s first Human Security Studies think tank -Hyderabad to All India Police Departments & Central Paramilitary Forces (CISF-CRPF-SSB-ITBP-BSF) and other important law enforcement agencies in the country.

The proposed dates for the Executive Certificate Program are 18th– 20th of November, 2021 at Dr.MCR HRD Institute, Road no-25, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad – Residential cum Online Program.

Faculty is drawn from many AI enabled tech manufacturers and AI Research community and academics of  global repute  joining hands to empower our police and paramilitary forces of our country. Theoretical and practical used cases teaching methods will be used to empower the participants.

Legal, Ethical, Social and Regulatory challenges involved in usage and adoption of such niche technologies like AI will be discussed throughout the course components. International best practices on AI  enabled smart policing will be taught by eminent global faculties drawn from Israel, the UK, the US, Australia and Dubai along with reputed Indian faculty drawn from IITs and other reputed Academic institutions of national & international repute.

The rate of innovation in the field of artificial intelligence is astounding and is already more widespread in society than is often perceived. Artificial intelligence being relatively a new concept for law enforcement, there are expertise gaps which need to be filled and the emerging technology landscape needs to be continuously monitored to ensure preparedness. Advancements in artificial intelligence and robotics can bring both opportunities as well as risks, which require a strategic apparoach and the investment of effort and resources.
