Telangana: Heavy rains in Hyderabad .. Inland areas flooded
Heavy rain fell in many parts of the city. The city was drenched in rain around noon on Saturday. Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills received moderate rainfall while Rajendranagar, Attapur, Uppal, Amberpet and Ramanthapur received heavy rainfall. MLA Raja Singh expressed concern over the situation at Goshamahal area.
Malakpet, Dilsukhnagar and L. B. Nsgar areas were inundated due to torrential rains.
The Chaitanyapuri colony in the city was submerged and traffic came to a standstill in many places as the roads turned into puddles. Manholes are overflowing with heavy, flooding. GHMC officials advised people to be vigilant about rains and floods.
Many are worried about heavy rains, floods and mudslides. People are wailing as water seeps into homes. Video footage of rains in Greater is trending on social media.
