Hyderabad: Dr. L Murugan inaugurates Seed Production Technology of Gaint Freshwater Prawn/scampi in Bihar
Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Fisheries and Animal Husbandry, Dr. L Murugan has inaugurated the Seed Production Technology of Gaint Freshwater Prawn/scampi in Bihar virtually from Hyderabad.
The National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB) has provided financial assistance of 77.16 lakh rupees for the project. The Recirculate Freshwater Prawn Hatchery will have a production capacity of 5 million PL per annum.
The Minister reviewed various activities of the NFDB. He also released jingles relating to PM Matsya Sampada Yojana produced by the Regional Outreach Bureau. The Minister reviewed the various activities undertaken by the NFDB. Demo of Seed Production Technology Project Launched. # PMMSY Jingles, Fish Recipe Award Winners Honored Subsequently, the #FIDF brochure in 10 languages was released under the auspices of NFDB. The event was graced by NFDB Chief Executive Dr. C. Suvarna, officials participated.
Dr. L Murugan says every fisherman will be given benefit of Kissan Credit Card soon
Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Dr L Murugan today said every fisherman will be given the benefit of Kissan Credit Card soon.
Speaking to reporters after a review meeting with officials at the National Fisheries Development Board in Hyderabad, the minister said soon the KCCs will be given to all Fishermen.
The standard operating procedures are being prepared and the proposals are in advance consideration of the Agriculture Ministry.
Dr Murugan further said foundation stone will be laid soon for the five fishing harbours with international standards, as announced in the annual budget 2021-22, proposed at places including Kotchi, Chennai, Visakhapatnam and Paradeep.
