Portals of Kedarnath, Yamunotri shrine closed for winter
In Uttarakhand, the Portals of Kedarnath and Yamunotri shrine have been closed for winter this morning. Amid devotional tunes of the army bands on the occasion of bhai dooj, A large number of pilgrims, Tirtha Purohits, and the officials of the Devasthanam Board and District Administration witnessed the closure of the doors.
“The portals of the Kedarnath and Yamunotri shrine were closed with traditional rituals”, says state Governor Gurmeet Singh, Legislative Assembly Speaker Prem Chandra Agrawal, and Former MP Manohar Kant Dhyani were present on this occasion at Kedarnath Dham.
The entire Kedarnath Dham is covered with snow today. Meanwhile, the Gangotri shrine has been closed yesterday for the winter however the doors of Lord Badri Vishal will be closed for winter on 20th November.
According to Char Dham Devsthanam Board despite the Corona pandemic, the Char Dham Yatra is being completed successfully. More than four and a half lakh pilgrims have reached the char Dham out of this more than 2 lakh 40 thousand pilgrims have reached Kedarnath Dham.
