AP: Pending forest clearances should be expedited: CS Dr. Sameer Sharma
Chief Secretary to the Government Dr. Sameer Sharma has directed the authorities to expedite the pending forest clearances for roads and bridges sanctioned by the Prime Minister’s Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) and other schemes in Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram, Visakhapatnam and East Godavari districts.
He reviewed with the officials on Friday at the Amravati Secretariat on pending forest clearances, Jalajivan Mission, Village Health Centers, Village Sanitation Improvement Strategy, and Preventive Practice.
On this occasion, CS said that the matter will be reviewed on a monthly basis to ensure that all the pending forest clearances are expedited and completed expeditiously. Afterwards, CS Dr. Sameer Sharma reviewed with the officials on Jalajivan Mission, Village Health Centers, Village Sanitation Improvement Strategy, Preventive Practice etc.
The meeting was attended by Chief Panchayati Raj and Chief Secretaries of Rural Development, Transport and Roads and Buildings Departments Gopalakrishna Dwivedi, YT Krishnababu, Special Secretary, Forest Department Dr. Chalapathirao, Additional PCCF, Panchayati Raj Branch ENCs, Collectors of Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram, Visakhapatnam and East Godavari districts via video link Participated in this meeting.
