The SC / ST Atrocities Act should be used to prevent crime and punish offenders.
State SC Commission Chairman Marumudi Victor Prasad said that there was a need to curb the harassment of SCs in Andhra Pradesh. He held a press conference at Gurjada Conference Hall in Andhra Pradesh Bhavan this afternoon.

On this occasion, he said that he was coming to Delhi to meet the dignitaries after taking charge on August 24. He met National AC Commission Chairman Vijay Sampla and Vice Chairperson Arun Haider. 41 (c) explained that those who attacked SCs were being released on station bail.
He said the attackers on the SCs had appealed for the repeal of 41 (c) to avoid getting station bail. Currently, offenders under the age of 7 are not punished. The SC / ST Atrocities Act wants to protect SCs / STs.
The SC / ST Atrocities Act should be used to prevent crime and punish offenders. The state SC commission is working to do justice to the SCs.
