AP: CM aerial survey of flood prone areas in the State

Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy conducted an aerial survey of the areas affected by the heavy rains and subsequent floods caused by the cyclone. Arriving at Kadapa Airport from Gannavaram Airport, the Chief Minister met the Navy personnel engaged in relief operations.

CM Speaking to local public representatives and collectors on flood conditions in the district. The CM then conducted an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas in Kadapa due to the ebb and flow by helicopter.

The CM conducted an aerial survey of the areas affected by the Papagni and Penna rivers, which were overflowing with heavy rains. The CM then inspected the Veligallu and Annamayya project area which was cut off.

Aerial survey was done in the flood affected villages. In addition to the Pinche project, the CM conducted an aerial survey of the areas affected by the Cheyeru River and the flood prone areas.

The CM then inspected the Renigunta, Tirupati Town, Peruru project and Swarnamukhi river areas through an aerial survey. Later, the Chief Minister spoke to officials and public representatives at Renigunta Airport.

On this occasion, the CM directed to take immediate sanitation measures in Tirupati town. Officials explained that 500 personnel have already been deployed from various municipalities.

The CM directed to immediately remove the overgrowth that had accumulated in the streets and drainages. Ordered to prepare a master plan on drainage system in Tirupati and take appropriate action.

He said that as soon as the flood waters recede, estimates on crop damage should be made immediately and steps should be taken to support the farmers. The CM directed the authorities and the authorities to provide immediate financial assistance to the flood-hit houses and to assist them in their return home.
