Syed Modi International Tournament: PV Sindhu looks to end drought, to take on Tanya Hemanth in round 32 matches

In Badminton, two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu and former world No 1 Kidambi Srikanth will take on their respective opponents in the singles semi-finals of 2021 Indonesia Masters Tournament today.

Reigning world champion Sindhu will play against top seed Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in women’s semi-final, while Srikanth will face reigning World Tour Finals champion Anders Antonsen of Denmark in the Men’s last four fixtures.

In the women’s quarterfinals, Sindhu beat Turkey’s Neslihan Yigit 21-13, 21-10. Srikanth beat compatriot HS Prannoy 21-7, 21-18 in the men’s last eight fixture
