Central teams to assess flood, rain damages on 4-day visit to TN
The Central teams to assess the flood and rain damages are on a four-day visit to Tamil Nadu. The State Government said that the teams will start their assessments tomorrow.
While one team will visit Southern Districts of the State like Thoothukudi, Kanyakumari and Vellore districts. The team comprises a Consultant in the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Director of water resources, R.Thangamani, Asst Director of the Ministry of Power Bhavya Pandey and two senior officials of the Tamilnadu Government.
Another team consisting of the Joint Secretary of Home Affairs, Rajiv Sharma, Director of the department of Agriculture Vijay Rammohan, Regional officer of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Rananjay Singh and two senior officials of the State Government will visit Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, Mahabalipuram, Puducherry, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur and Tiruchirapalli. The teams will later have a discussion with the Chief Minister on 24th before returning to Delhi.
