Union Minister Shripad Naik visits JNPT; briefed about the port’s expansion plans
Union Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shripad Naik today visited the country’s premier container handling port JNPT.
During his visit to Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust in Navi Mumbai, the Minister closely observed the Port operations, including the several infrastructural and technological advancements that have been recently harnessed to provide a world-class experience to the maritime community.
He explored numerous tech-enabled ‘Smart Port Initiatives’ that are being undertaken to further enhance the Port’s efficiency and competence. Mr. Naik also experienced the working of RMQC crane simulator, which is used for training crane operators.
