Former Andhra Pradesh CM Rosaiah’s last rites performed with state honours
The last rites of former Chief Minister of unified State of Andhra Pradesh and senior Congress leader Konijeti Rosaiah, who passed away yesterday, were performed with full State honours this afternoon in Kompally, 40 kilometres from Hyderabad.
The pyre was lit by his eldest son. Senior Congress leaders and party workers were present on this occasion. On behalf of the Andhra Pradesh Government, Endowments Minister Yellampalli Srinivas and Industries Minister Botsa Satyanarayan were present.
Earlier the departed leader’s body was placed at Gandhi Bhawan, the Congress party’s headquarters, to allow party leaders, activists and the general public to pay their last respects.
