NTPC Simhadri organizes a state level painting competition award function on energy conservation
The Ministry of Power is celebrating Energy Conservation Week under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Various activities were undertaken by NTPC as a part of the celebrations.
NTPC has been organizing National Level Painting Competitions on Energy Conservation for school children. This year, the theme for the competition is ‘Azadika Amrit Mahotsav: Energy Efficient India” and ‘AzadikaAmritMahotsav: Cleaner Planet’. Phase-1 State level painting competition was organized by NTPC Simhadri from 1st to 07th December 2021 in 3 Venues of Andhra Pradesh .
About 1064 students across the schools of Andhra Pradesh participated in the competition held during 1st December to 7th December.
The State level top 13 winners in each group (group A 5,6,7) and Group B (Class 8 , 9& 10) is awarded in a glittering function held on 10.12.2021 at NTPC Deepanjalinagar Township SANGAMAM Hall with a Prize money of Rs, 50,000/- First prize & Second Prize Rs. 30,000/- & Third Prize Rs. 20,000/- along with 10 consolation prizes @ Rs. 7500/- each and it will culminate to a National Level Painting on 12th December 2021 at New Delhi. The winners of the National level competition will be awarded on the occasion of National Energy Conservation Day, December 14th.
Prize distribution ceremony is attended by Shri Diwakar Kaushik, Chief General manager of NTPC Simhadri along with Shri R K JHA GM (OPN) SH R R Parida-GM C&M) & S K Pradhan-GM(PPG), Shri Ramprasad-DGM (Fin) and Smt Ruma De Sharma AGM(HR) along with AP Nodal Officer T Mallaiah-Asst Manager(HR).

State Lever winners from Group A :
- First Prize Rs, 50,000/- : Md Nashwa Nazneen – 7 th Class Little Flower School Machilipatnam
- Second Prize Rs. 30,000/- Dipika Mondal – 7th Class BBPS- NTPC Simhadri
- Third Prize Rs. 20,000/- : CH Bhavagnya – 5th Class Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan- Visakhapatnam.
State Lever winners from Group B :
- First Prize Rs, 50,000/- : M Mahidhar – 10 th Class N S M Public School Vijayawada
- Second Prize Rs. 30,000/- Amna Kola – 10th Class VPS Public School Vijayawada
- Third Prize Rs. 20,000/- : Reneshna Malik – 9th Class Depaul School, Ukkunagaram
