Dr. Jitendra Singh to inaugurate 7th International Science Festival of India in Goa
The 7th International Science Festival of India will kickstart today in Panjim, Goa. The festival will be inaugurated by the Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Union Minister Shripad Naik, and other dignitaries will be present.
The festival is being organized in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Geology, Department of Science and Technology, Vigyan Bharati, National Institute of Polar and Marine Research, and Government of Goa.
Over 10,000 students from all over the country are expected to participate in this four-day festival, which will take place in hybrid mode — virtual mode and offline mode. Last year, due to the pandemic, the festival was conducted in virtual mode.

The theme of this year’s festival is ‘Celebrating Creativity in Science’. This festival will host 12 events, including science and technology exhibitions. Since India is celebrating 75 years of Independence, the various programmes will fall under the five categories, namely Freedom Struggle, ideas -75, actions-75, resolve-75, and achievements -75.
About 2,000 traditional artists will present scientific roles through their works of art. The festival is also featuring activities like rainwater harvesting messages and others.
