Hyderabad: ARCI’s senior scientists make up Stanford University’s list of top 2% scientists
Five Senior Scientists associated with International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI), Hyderabad, an autonomous R&D Centre of Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, have been featured among the top two percent of scientists in a global list compiled by the researchers from prestigious Stanford University. In the exhaustive list of 1,59,683 persons, 1,492 Indians have found a place.
The list includes the top 2% of the most-cited scientists in various disciplines across the world. In this exhaustive list, Prof. G. Sundararajan, Dr. Tata Narasinga Rao, Dr.Ibram Ganesh, Dr. N. Rajalakshmi (all four featured for the second consecutive time), and Dr. R. Subasri have found a place, representing fields like Materials, Energy and Applied Physics.

The list has been prepared by Stanford University in which they created a publicly available database of 100,000 top-scientists that provides standardized information on number of publications, citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted Hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator.
TheStanford – Elsevier report were published recently and they have been classified into 22 scientific fields and 176 sub-fields in the report.
