Piyush Goyal launches ‘Meghalayan Age’ store in New Delhi
Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal launched the ‘Meghalayan Age’ store in New Delhi yesterday. He said that Shawls, Bamboo, Handicrafts, and various other unique products of the Northeast will have a huge market not only for visitors from India but also from across the world.
Complimenting Meghalaya’s Chief Minister Conrad Sangma for setting up the store, Mr. Goyal said that it will provide local artisans and more than 43 thousand weavers of the state a window to showcase the rich culture, heritage, art, and ethnic products of Meghalaya.
