Women’s Hockey: India’s match with China cancelled due to health concerns
In women’s Hockey, India’s match with China scheduled for today, in the ongoing Asian Champions Trophy in Donghae, South Korea, has been cancelled due to health concerns.
Hockey India said, in a tweet that with the health and safety of the players being paramount, the match will not take place. This is the third match of India cancelled due to COVID concerns. Yesterday, the fixture against South Korea was also cancelled after routine COVID testing.
On Tuesday, India’s second match against Malaysia was cancelled after one Malaysian player was tested positive.

Last edition’s runners-up, India had earlier thrashed a lowly Thailand 13-0 with drag-flicker Gurjit Kaur scoring five goals.
The Women’s Asian Champions Trophy was originally scheduled for 2020, but was postponed multiple times because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
