Historians and Scholars from various parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have emphasized the need for uncovering and finding important missing links in the history of the region.
A large group of historians and professors besides successors of the then princely states gathered at a conference held by the Telangana Council of Historical Research at Amanagallu in Nalgonda district on Saturday.

Participating in the conference, Principal Director General (News) of All India Radio N. Venudhar Reddy said, the region missed prominence in the annals of the history despite it was ruled for centuries by many prominent dynasties like Asaf Jahi, Qutab Shahis, Satavahanas, Chalukyas and Kakatiyas.
He recalled about many inscriptions, engravings and other historical evidences that were found in and around Amanagallu. Additional Director General of Police Shivadhar Reddy, TCHR President Venkat Ramireddy and several professors and scholars attended the two-day conference.
