Singareni Solar bags “National Solar Project Excellence Award”

Singareni Calories Company Limited has been awarded the Solar Excellence Award at the National level for its rapidly building and successfully operating solar plants.
The award was presented to Singareni GM (Solar) Suryanarayana Raju at an event in New Delhi on Friday by Solar Quarter, an organization that promotes solar power in Asian Pacific and African countries. Solar Quarter is the largest media company in Asia-Pacific and Africa in the field of solar energy.
Solar Excellence Award Director (E&M) D. Satyanarayana Rao expressed his happiness that the Singareni Thermal Power Station has already received several awards at the national level for its Outstanding Plant Load Factor (PLF) management, but it is gratifying that the Solar Plant has received the National Award for the first time.

He said the solar plants were completed and started production as soon as possible under the special initiative of the company chairman and MD Mr N. Sridhar.
Under the first and second phases of Singareni, a total of 209 MW of solar power plants will be set up, generating 166 million units of solar power by the end of November, saving the company up to Rs 85 crore.
The Chairman and MD of the company, Mr. N. Sridhar, expressed his happiness over this and suggested that the construction of floating solar plants at the Singareni Thermal Power Station and the Maneru Reservoir should be completed and production started as soon as possible.
During the presentation of the Solar Quarter Company Award, Singareni said that the company was presenting the award at the national level for its efforts in setting up solar plants as well as initiating production through solar plants and working towards environmentally friendly power generation.
