BWF World Championships: P.V. Sindhu, Kidambi Srikanth, and Lakshya Sen wins
Indian shuttlers P.V. Sindhu, Kidambi Srikanth, and Lakshya Sen won their second-round matches at the BWF World Championships in Huelva, Spain this evening.
Sindhu beat Martina Repiska of Slovak 21-7, 21-9 in women’s single while in Men’s Singles Srikanth upset Li Shi Feng of China 15-21, 21-18, 21-17, and Sen defeated Kenta Nishimoto of Japan 22-20, 15-21, 21-18.
India’s HS Prannoy and men’s doubles pair MR Arjun and Dhruv Kapila yesterday advanced to the second round after registering brilliant victories.

World number 32 HS Prannoy stunned World number 9 Angus Ng Ka Long of Hong Kong by winning the men’s singles first round contest 13-21, 21-18, 21-19 in one hour and 11 minutes. Now 29-year-old Prannoy will lock horns with world number 36 Daren Liew of Malaysia tomorrow.
World No. 41 Arjun and Kapila defeated the world No. 45 Danish pair of Daniel Lungaard and Mathias Thyrri 21-18, 21-17 in 44 minutes in the first round. Now Indian pair will take on eleventh seeds Vladimir Ivanov and Ivan Sozonov of Russia ranked 15 in the world.
