Under CSR-CD Initiatives, NTPC Simhadri has organized a Specialised Medical Camp at the premises of MPP School, Pittavanipalem through Helpage India on 15.12.2021. In the Medical Camp specialized services of Orthopaedic, Gynaecologist, Dermatologist and General Physicians have been made available and free medicines were provided to the villagers of Pittavanipalem, Marada Dasaripeta, Chinnapalem and nearby locations after consultation.
Through the medical camp 261 Number of community residents of Pittavanipalem and surrounding villages were able to access specialized healthcare services.The medical camp was inaugurated by Smt. Ruma De Sharma, Head of HR NTPC Simhadri in presence of Smt. Battu Suryakumari, Corporator of Ward-77, CMO NTPC Simhadri Dr. A.K. Mohapatra, CSR team members Sri K. Prakasa Rao, Dy.Manager (HR/CSR), Sri Ch.Ranga Rao, AM (CSR) & Ms.Charu Pathak, Executive (CSR) and other local leaders.
During the event, HOHR and Corporator have urged the community members to utilize the services of the health camp to the maximum extent as this type of free medical camps at the door steps of villages would be more beneficial to the old aged, pregnant women and children.
To ensure maximum participation of community members, communication was shared in the vicinity of villages through distribution of pamphlets and public announcements. The specialized medical camp is in addition to the Mobile Healthcare Unit under CSR initiative of NTPC Simhadri, that runs in all villages and conducts weekly visits to the villages for addressing primary healthcare needs.
