PM Modi expresses grief over loss of lives in AP bus accident; CM announces Rs 5 Lakh ex-gratia

In Andhra Pradesh, at least 9 people, including the driver were killed and several others injured in a major bus accident in West Godavari district this afternoon. According to the police, the APSRTC bus which was carrying 47 passengers, overturned and plunged into the Jalleruagu rivulet near Jangareddygudem in the district. At least 26 people were seriously injured in the accident. There are Six women among those who were killed in the accident.  The injured have been shifted to the hospital.

The incident took place when the bus was on its way to Jangareddygudem in West Godavari from Aswaraopeta in Bhadradri Kothagudem District of Telangana State. Divers were called to help in the rescue operation.

AP Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan and Chief Minister  Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy have expressed anguish over the bus mishap. The AP State Government has announced an ex-gratia payment of 5 Lakh rupee each to the kin of the deceased.  West Godavari District Collector, Karthikeya Mishra, and S.P Rahuldev Sharma are looking after the rescue operation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed sadness at the loss of lives due to a bus accident in West Godavari of Andhra Pradesh. In his message, Mr. Modi said, his thoughts are with the bereaved families in this hour of grief.

AP: 10 killed, 20 injured in APSRTC bus overturn

At least 10 passengers were killed when a bus overturned at Jilleruvagu in East Godavari district. Another 20 were seriously injured.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CM Jagan were shocked by today’s incident. Ex gratia expressed sympathy to the families of the deceased. Orders were issued to provide medical treatment to the injured.

Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has expressed shock over the incident where a bus fell on Jangareddygudem Jalleru Wagu in West Godavari district. Condolences were extended to the families of those who died in the incident.

Authorities ordered the families of the deceased to pay ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh. The District Collector was directed to take appropriate steps to ensure better treatment to the injured.

State Deputy Chief Minister and Medical Health Minister Alla Nani has expressed shock over the death of 10 passengers in a bus overturn in Zilla Wagu. Expressed profound sympathy to the families of the deceased.

The minister who alerted the district machinery

Minister Alla Nani directed the district authorities to take steps to provide better medical treatment to the injured in the bus accident. It was suggested that special arrangements be made at the Jangareddygudem Government Hospital for better medical care for those injured in the accident, which is more than 20 years old. Minister Alla Nani directed the district authorities to immediately go to the spot and take relief measures.
