Telangana Governor pitches for special focus on health and education of tribal groups
Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan today called for a special focus on the health and education of the people belonging to the primitive tribal groups. She emphasised the need to carry out sustained efforts to improve the nutritional status and promote education among them.
She has reviewed the progress of initiatives, especially on the nutritional interventions for the tribals from three districts-Adilabad, Nagarkurnool, and Bhadradri Kothagudem, in the state. The governor also emphasized the need for promoting hygiene among the tribals.
Highlighting the need to improve their livelihoods and economic prosperity, the Governor asked the agricultural, veterinary, and horticultural universities in the State to train them in sustainable agricultural practices, animal husbandry, dairy farming, and vegetable cultivation.
