AP: Conduct Departmental Joint Staff Council Meetings: CS Dr. Samir Sharma
Chief Secretary to the Government Dr Samir Sharma has directed the secretaries to hold joint staff council meetings at various departments and take steps to resolve various issues related to employees in a timely manner as far as possible.
He also said that the District Joint Staff Council should hold meetings at the level of District Collectors and see to it that the issues that need to be resolved at the district level are resolved at the district level.
During the meeting, the CS reviewed the Action Report (ATR) on various issues discussed at the last Secretaries’ Meeting.
The secretaries of various departments have been directed to compile DPC (Departmental Promotion Committee) calendars from next year regarding the promotions of employees in various departments and to take steps to ensure timely promotion of DPCs.
Chief Secretary to the Government Dr Sameer Sharma on the EP Online Legal Case Management System (APOLCMS) regarding court cases directed the secretaries to file timely counters in various court cases.
The CS directed that an officer with legal expertise at the level of the Secretary or Deputy Secretary in the Ministry should be appointed as the Nodal Officer so that the GPs could work in coordination with other judges in relation to court cases.
CS Dr Sameer Sharma directed the medical health department officials as well as officials of various departments to be prepared with all the necessary precautionary measures to deal effectively with the Covid situation.
General Administration Department Chief Secretary (Service Welfare) Shashi Bhushan Kumar told the meeting that the EP Joint Staff Council meeting was held in October after 12 years.
It is a high body of 33 members comprising of 18 officials and 16 representatives from various unions, chaired by the Chief Secretary to the Government. .
