Telangana: Forest officials should be committed to greenery enhancement and forest conservation: PCCF R. Shobha
The passing out parade of 27 officers, who were selected as forest section officers and completed six months of training, was held at Telangana Forest Academy – Doolapally. The Chief Guest at the event was the Chief Forest Officer (PCCF) R. Shobha attended.
The trainees greeted the passing out parade. The PCCF urged forest officials and employees to act with commitment in duty management as the responsibility of employees has increased due to climate change and pressure on forests.
He suggested that the state government should work efficiently in view of the priority given to greenery promotion and forest protection.
The six-month training program for 20 batch forest officers comprising 27 officers began on June 14 this year and ended on December 30. The training will cover duties in the forest, challenges encountered, protection, and related topics. As part of this, special training on weapon training and survey training was imparted at the Forest Academy.
At the end of the training, Shri. P Ravi (Asifabad Division) won the first place as well as the overall all-rounder who excelled in sports. 12km in the marathon test. In the men’s section of the distance R. Manyamayya, (1h.3m) J. Snehashree (1h40m) won first place in the women’s category.
In this program P.V. Rajarao, Director Academy, Dr. G. Narsayya, Forest Conservation Officer (Retd.), Shri V Rama Mohan, Course Director, Academy Officers and staff participated.
