Puducherry LG directs officials to ensure Covid-appropriate behaviour in public places
Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan directed the police, health and the line department officials to strictly enforce the COVID protocol to prevent possible surge in COVID cases.
Vehicular traffic will not be allowed towards white town areas from 2 pm today till 3 am tomorrow.
The tourist vehicles will have to be parked in the parking slots arranged in many places. Wooden fences have been erected along the beach road to prevent any untoward incidence happened.

The health department has started checking of Covid 19 vaccinations certificate at the entry points of Puducherry. Arrangements have been made to administer vaccination to those who are not vaccinated.
Meanwhile, the Madras High court-ordered ban on the sale of liquor in all shops, bars between 10 pm today and 1 am early morning tomorrow. The District Collector Purva Garg said that administration has decided to wind up the celebrations and close beach road at 12. 30 AM tonight.
