Director Shri. Chandrasekhar, Shri N. Balram Review with Video conference
Hyderabad: The Singareni company has embarked on another new proposal for the supply of explosives for use in open cast mines. Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has teamed up with them to set up a 40,000 tonne per annum explosive (SME) site mixed emulsion plant in the Mandamarri area.
Singareni Director (Operations) Shri S. Chandrasekhar and Director (P&P, Finance, Personnel) Shri N. Balaram today the meeting was held at Singareni Bhavan, to finalize the terms of reference.
There are currently 19 OCs in the Singareni Company. The mines generate about 3 lakh tonnes of SME per annum is required. Singareni Company Ramagundam 3, Manuguru own SME. About 50,000 tonnes of SME was generated by the plants.
The remaining 2 lakh 50 thousand tons of SME are supplied by private exclusive companies. Companies that supply explosives sometimes fail to deliver O.C. The production process in the mines is limping. To avoid this, C&MD wants to set up another explosives unit in the Singareni area.

The location has already been decided, IOCL said. Together we will launch a 40,000 tonne plant a year. He said Singareni would also increase its own production capacity as production reaches 100 million tonnes in the next five years.
