Kerala reports 50,812 fresh Covid cases, 47,649 recoveries
Kerala’s daily caseload of Covid-19 transmission crossed 50,000 for the fourth consecutive day on Saturday. The State has reported 50,812 fresh cases and 47,649 recoveries in last 24 hours. The infected people include 402 health workers.
Ernakulam district continues to be worst affected with 11,103 fresh cases. Test Positivity Rate surged to 45.78 per cent. Overall infection registered 57 per cent hike over the last week. The State’s active cases have risen to 3,36,202.


Meanwhile, lockdown-like restrictions will be imposed in Kerala from midnight tonight to contain fast transmission of Omicron-driven Covid-19. This is the second weekend lockdown clamped in the State during third wave of the pandemic
