IIIE-Hyderabad Chapter celebrated its 65th Foundation Day
Hyderabad Chapter celebrates 65th Foundation Day of the Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE) recently at Chapter office on the theme “Azadika Amrut Mahostav : Evolution of IE and its role in development of Industries”.
Sri M.Prabhakara Rao, Chapter Hon. Secretary welcomed the IIIE members present, invited audience; He further welcomed presiding officer Sri. N.Bhaskar, Chapter Chairman, Chief Guest Sri. S .Chandrasekhar, Director (Operations), The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (A Govt. Company) and Guest of Honour Dr AVV Prasada Raju , Vice Chairman, Nationa Council on to the dais with a bouquet of flowers as a token of love and respect.
The programme started with the IIIE song.
Sri. N.Bhaskar, Chapter Chairman explained about the importance and history of IIIE foundation day. He expressed his happiness over starting of the IIIE activities by Hyderabad Chapter after a long gap. He told that, big no. of Industrial Engineers are working in Singareni Collieries Company Limited contributing a lot to the organization in improving the Production and Productivity levels. Further, he also given assurance that, the necessary support will be extended by IIIE Chapter and IE Department for Singareni growth on continuous basis.
Today’s Chief Guest Sri. S.Chandrasekhar in his speech explained that SCCL is the only organization adopting the new technologies and IT products to increase its sustainability factor. SCCL is very fast in transformation of business from Coal mining to power sector and making profits. He suggested Industrial engineers to enrich the knowledge in 360 degrees improvement for optimization in today’s technology intensified industries.
He further advised every Industrial Engineer to mould and tuned as per the needs of the Industry for input cost optimization and increase the industry sustainable factor in order to face the global competition. He admire the vital role of Industrial Engineer in SCCL and motivated to enrich the knowledge and also advised to make road map to face the new challenges in the Industry Sector.
Further, he stated that, in Singareni, IE is given major role in Manpower planning, Redeployment of Manpower, Incentive Schemes, Material Management, MIS, IT &ERP, Work Norms and cost reduction techniques etc.
Dr AVV Prasada Raju, Vice Chairman, National Council congratulated every Member of the Hyderabad Chapter for their unstinted efforts in reviving the chapter activities. He emphasized that, the Industrial Engineers must ready with updating their skills to suit the organizational requirements. He also assured full cooperation and support of the NC of IIIE to Hyderabad Chapter in all aspects.
The program was well attended with more than 25 participants from various industries, professionals, teaching faculty from ICFAI, students and IIIE members. Mr.P Rajanna, Chapter vice chairman has proposed vote of Thanks and the meeting ended with National Anthem.
