Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari today said that Maharashtra is the fastest growing economy in the country and Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, industry, and agriculture can play an important role in the development of the state.
Speaking at a function at the Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, he said that the state has power, water, coastline, and better roads and with the help of all these available resources we can develop the state in near future.
The Minister said that industry, Commerce, and Agriculture are the backbones of the development of the state and there is a huge potential that can be utilized for rapid growth.
He underlined the importance of the role of ethanol in the economy of Maharashtra. He said the country has surplus agriculture production and it can be utilized in the production of ethanol.
Union Minister of state for finance Bhagvat Karad was also present on the occasion.
